We began coming to Jesus to get some rest:
“Come to me, all you that are weary and
are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.” (1)
Yet He continue walking and walking in Galilee.
We also continue walking with Him to know Him more deeply.
He began working with us walking with Him:
“Let us go on to the neighboring towns,
so that I may proclaim the message there also;
for that is what I came out to do.” (2)
We also began working with Him in our neighborhood.
We began walking on the streets to deliver the message.
Every Wednesday, we work with Jesus in our neighborhood.
As He called his twelve and sent them out two by two, (3)
we walk into our neighborhood with the Holy Spirit.
We will continue walking on the streets to work with Jesus.
He began awaking our souls and St. Mark’s deep heart.
We began knocking on homes in our neighborhood, following Him.
“Here I am! I stand at the door and knock.
If anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and eat with him, and he with me.” (4)
We began working, walking, following Him as in Galilee.
He began awaking all of us from spiritual sleep.
