You who understand, recognize and accept Me,
From your innermost being streams of living water will flow. (1)
Come, all of you who are thirsty in this wilderness-like world;
Drink the living water I offer you in your deep hearts. (2)
If God so clothes the grass of the field,
will God not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? (1)
Why are you afraid, you people of little faith? (2)
“Do not work for food that spoils.
Work for food that that endures to eternal life.”
Even though we have worked hard our whole life,
we have not a question about our ordinary life.
“If any one of you is without sin,
Let him be the first to throw a stone at her.” (1)
An uncomfortable silence flowed into each conscience;
Because the silence was too heavy,
One by one, the accusers turned to go.
“Lazarus, come out!” (1)
When Jesus shouted to the tomb,
People’s breathing stopped.
“Unbind him, and let him go.” (2)

I called you to give eternal life;
I met you to be your friend;
my steps to the crucifixion were my love for you.
I am coming to you now,
yet they who you gave me remain in the wild world.
That I am going away from them makes them stronger;
they will become wise with the Holy Spirit. (1)
If you love me, you will obey my teaching
And the one who sent me will love you.
And we will come into you and make our home with you
If you receive us into your heart.(1)
All of us are thirsty for freedom.
Human beings have left in search of freedom since birth.
As we left mother’s womb, then parents’ fence, for the bigger world,
many left even our Creator to find freedom.
