O thou who is happy for a poor spirit,
you shall live in the kingdom of heaven.
O thou who is lovely for your mourning heart,
you shall be comforted by God’s broken heart.
O thou who is beautiful for your gentle heart,
you shall be safe on this earth that has become a wilderness.
O thou who is marvelous for hungering and thirsting for righteousness,
you shall enjoy peace in the righteousness of God.
O thou who is blessed by a merciful heart,
you shall receive mercy from the heart of the Lord.
O thou who is inspired by a pure heart,
you shall see God and hear His call.
O thou who is wondrous for working for peace,
you shall be called the child of God.
O thou who is courageous in the righteous of God and the Gospel,
you shall have the kingdom of heaven.
O thou who walks and works with Jesus, who follows Him,
you shall live in release and freedom and light. (1)
