I Am the Good Shepherd
My heart was deeply rent in the wilderness
when they ran to me in thirst and hunger
like wandering sheep without a shepherd. (1)
Yes, I am the good shepherd for them.
It Is Finished
Foxes have dens and birds of the sky have nests,
but the Son of Man has no place to lay His head. (1)
I have walked for the world and worked the Father’s works.
I have followed the Spirit of the One who called and sent me.
Now, it is finished. (2)

What did you go out into the wilderness to see?
A reed shaken by the wind?
What did you go into the desert to see?
A stalk swayed by the breeze?
What did you see there? (1)

A little girl dreams of a marvelous wedding,
of food, family and rejoicing with friends.
But the Lord disrupted my wedding planning,
and in doing this shattered my childhood dream.
When the Light Shines
“The light shines in the darkness,
but the darkness has not understood it.” (1)

might they lose their sight?
