I am still coming into the world as a light,
For I do not want you to stay in darkness. (1)
For I desire you to have eternal life in my light,
I have come into your deep hearts to bring light. (2)
To preach good news to the poor,
to proclaim freedom for the prisoners,
to declare recovery of sight for the blind,
to release the oppressed. (3)
To give rest for you who are weary and burdened, (4)
to give my gentle humbleness for your broken hearts, (5)
to give my peace which is different from worldly peace, (6)
to give you the way for heaven. (7)
I require that you hate your life in this world, (8)
For I did not come to judge you, but to save you. (9)
For I do not want you to die in the dark world,
I ask you to deny yourself and take up your cross. (10)
